Wildlife in Collograph with Hester Cox (Saturday & Sunday)

£135.00 Sold Out

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th March 2017 - £135 including all materials and lunch on both days

Indulge yourself and spend two days with Hester Cox exploring her favourite printmaking method: collagraph. Collagraph is one of the most diverse ways of making printed images and suits a variety of artistic styles.

Saturday morning will be spent discovering the many exciting methods that are used to create texture and line, such as textured papers, gesso and cutting. You will be encouraged to develop your own ideas inspired by the animal kingdom. The collagraph plates will be printed in the afternoon when Hester will demonstrate various inking and wiping techniques, including how to use more than one colour on a single plate.

Sunday allows you ample opportunity to gain a more in-depth introduction to collagraph by giving you time to develop your ideas and hone the techniques with Hester (one of the most renowned collagraph printmakers working today) by your side. You will leave the workshop with a small edition of a collagraph print.

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those wishing to develop their existing skills.

10.00am - 4.30pm each day
