About the Workshops
Join artist Emerson Mayes and his friends for a series of intimate and relaxed workshops exploring painting, drawing, sculpture and print-making.
There are a range of workshops suitable for all abilities, giving everyone the chance to learn a new skill, or develop one they already have, under the experienced guidance of renowned professional artists.
Classes will be limited to a maximum of eight, as we feel that keeping the number of participants low is the best way of giving everyone the chance to really tap into that creative urge that lurks in us all, whilst having fun and making new friends.
Full day workshops will run from 10.00am to 4.30pm. Aim to arrive at 9.45am so that you can meet your tutor and other participants over a cup of tea or coffee before the workshop begins. A mid-morning tea break will give you a chance to mingle with everyone and share what you've achieved.
Lunch is included in the price and will usually be served around 12:45pm. There will also be a mid-afternoon break - but you may decide to take this brew on the hoof and crack on with your artwork. Tea, coffee and home baking is always available!
Half-day classes will usually run for 3 hours with unlimited Tea, coffee and cake.
Evening classes will start at 6.30pm and run until 9.00pm. We realise time is tight on an evening so please feel free to arrive a little later, or leave a little earlier. We promise to keep you fortified throughout with tea, coffee and home baking.
Materials for all classes will be provided, but more experienced artists are welcome to bring their own if they prefer.
For all our workshops, we suggest wearing old clothes, or at least an apron, as art is often a messy business.
